Hurricane Angels - Produced multimedia event with MA State Representative Smitty Pignatelli honoring Hurricane Katrina Volunteers at The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center - including live music performances by Ellis Paul and Vikki True, excerpts of “Hell and High Water”, poetry readings, and screening of Hurricane Angels. Proceeds from this event were donated to Hope For Stanley, named for Stanley Stewart, “who embodies the spirit and optimism of the people of New Orleans. Stanley Stewart is a resident of the Lower Ninth Ward who chose to wait out Hurricane Katrina.” Mr. Stuart and his wife Betty attended the event to personally thank the hundreds of volunteers from Berkshire County who contributed to the rebuilding of his home and others in New Orleans and other areas devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
Music Inn Reunion 2010, 2012, 2014 - Music Inn was an iconic music venue in the Berkshires from 1950 through 1979, featuring the country’s best jazz, folk, blues, and rock artists, as well as the first Jazz school in the country. To raise money for the development of an archival website David Rothstein, one of the former owners of Music Inn, hired Beansprout Productions to organize a reunion event in the summer of 2010. Over 100 fans, staff, and musicians got together to celebrate the 60/40 Reunion of Music Inn. The event was a tremendous success and The Music Inn Archives Website was launched in March 2011. The website includes in-dpeth stories, photos, audio recordings, photographs, and memorabilia gather from hundreds of people and sources. The website represents the potential to create and maintain a community of people with a common interest online and on the ground. Information and photos can be found HERE.
